Welcome to the official Patrick T Murphy website!  I use this website to post the latest news about my career as a freelance theatre artist as well as an independent recording musician.

About a year ago, I was taking an advanced level characterization acting course.  After a presentation of a scene, my teacher told me, “I want you to take your talents as a musician, your talents as a director, and your talents as an actor, and create a new form of theatre.”  At first, I was not exactly sure on how to respond to that, so I laughed.  Looking back, though, I realize that he had a point, and so I am starting to put more of an effort into sharing each lifestyle more with each other; hopefully the world will be able to share them with me.  As for the new form of theatre, it might be a while before I get to that point, but yes, I do accept your challenge, Jonathan.

Under The Musician section of the website, you can find free music from my debut album Esperanza; the section has lots of other fun stuff about my musical projects.  The Director portion showcases some works I have done as a stage director, with photos and more.  The Actor portion also selects a couple show I have performed in, to see what it is that I have recently been up to on stage.
